The CG International Online Learning Platform Now Launched

After months of development, the CG International Online Learning Platform is now live.

The platform brings together the full Career Guidance Experts Course, created within the Erasmus+ Capacity Building project to strengthen career guidance in VET across Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro.

This space is where the full training programme is structured, organised and ready to be used by VET teachers, counsellors and school staff working on career guidance.

Why we built it

When we started working on CG International, one thing was clear. In many VET schools, career guidance exists, but it is not always structured. Different people take on different responsibilities, labour market information is not always used consistently, and international opportunities are often disconnected from guidance work.

The project began with a review of policies and a needs analysis in the three partner countries. The result was not a long list of new activities to add. It was the need for more clarity, more coordination and more shared understanding. The platform was created to support exactly that.

What is inside the course

The Career Guidance Experts Course is organised into eight modules. Together they make up a 70-hour training pathway, combining online learning and practical work.

Participants work through topics such as:

  • What career guidance actually means in a VET context
  • How guidance supports students throughout their learning journey
  • How to use labour market information in a practical way
  • How to make guidance more inclusive
  • How digital tools can support schools
  • How international mobility connects to career development
  • How to build an institutional action plan

Each module includes explanations, examples, worksheets and assignments.

How the platform works

The platform is integrated into the CG International website and organised in a clear way. Once enrolled, participants can:

  • Access all eight modules
  • Download templates and tools
  • Complete short quizzes
  • Submit assignments
  • Track their progress
  • Add personal notes

It works on desktop and mobile. You can follow the course step by step, or jump to a specific module if you need to revisit something later. The goal was to make it practical, not complicated.

Tested before opening

Before making the platform available to participants, it was tested internally by 34 users from partner organisations and VET schools. The feedback was largely positive, with more than 96% of ratings in the higher range. Navigation, stability and clarity were especially well rated. Some small issues around login and mobile access were identified and adjusted before launch. The Quality Board also reviewed both the technical side and the training content, confirming that the platform is ready for wider use.

What happens next

The platform will host the online phase of the training and support the next steps of the project, including mobility exchanges.

It will also remain available after the project ends. Mundus will continue hosting and maintaining it for at least two years, so that the materials and tools remain accessible.

The Online Learning Platform is now part of the CG International toolkit. Schools can use it not only during the project, but also afterwards — as a reference point when updating guidance plans, preparing mobility projects or inducting new staff into guidance roles.

Strengthening career guidance takes time. This platform is meant to support that process in a practical and sustainable way.
